As The Pet Safety Crusader, and having personally taught more than 31,000 humans animal life-saving skills, I know there are still sooooo many who could benefit from this knowledge, so I am training others so that together we can reach even more people and the animals they love. I am one of just a few Pet First Aid instructors (if not the only one) to actually have earned state teaching credentials in Animal Care so can therefore help you not only learn content, but HOW to teach so that your students comprehend.
Becoming an Instructor is YOUR business, not a franchise. You pay for the program, and I teach you what I know, license you to use my slides and program and support your efforts however I can. YOU keep whatever you make teaching classes!
Training takes place via ZOOM where it’s just as intimate as sitting down across a coffee table together. You watch me demonstrate, I watch you practice, we view slides and videos together as we learn and converse on a schedule that fits your lifestyle!
It’s GRReat to train with another person so that you have an assistant or co-instructor. Together you can start teaching more quickly as you divide up the class segments to become experts on, and not have to learn everything at once!
Costs are tailored so that you earn back what you spend by teaching just a few classes. Training with a friend or co-worker can make it even more cost effective!

Hour 1 – You teach back to me the previous week’s lesson and we constructively go over your techniques and comprehension together.
Hour 2 – I take you through the next lesson, plus all you see below under BOTH OPTIONS.

Meet one-on-one with The Pet Safety Crusader for one hour weekly for 10 weeks. Never Group Classes!
Hour 1 – You teach back to me the previous week’s lesson and we constructively go over your techniques and comprehension together. You then receive (along with all listed below) a recording of me teaching the next lesson for you to prepare from for the next class.

- Video links to each of our training sessions so that you can go back and review.

- Copy of my 275-page 8X10 The Pet Safety Bible to provide additional background information because an instructor always needs to know even more than her or she shares in the classroom 🙂

Our organization, when searching for pet first aid instructor training, evaluated 5+ companies. We chose Sunny-dog Ink and Denise Fleck based on many factors, but the most important one was her communication with us. As you can imagine we had a lot of questions for each company and received the most comprehensive and timely feedback from Denise.
From there, the training far surpassed any pre-conceived ideas we may have had. He goal of “Helping YOU to Help YOUR Pet” blended seamlessly with our mission to reduce animal homelessness in our community. If community members are introduced to knowledge that not only helps their pets in times of emergency till they can get to a veterinarian, but are introduced to information about how to care for your animal, we may well have less homeless animals. Topics are covered in detail but also made relevant for the area of the country you expect to be teaching in. Subjects, such as CPCR or ticks, are presented with the most up to date information available. And instructors are invited to participate in quarterly meeting updates as well. Feedback on your teaching is presented in a positive manner. I could go on, suffice it to say, the experience is certainly worth the investment. Just do it!

I would like to thank Denise for the wonderful training experience I had. As a vet tech, I am required to take seminars and classes regularly, and I found Denise’s to be the best I have had in a long time. As an EMT and owner of a human first aid & CPR company, I decided to add pet first aid courses at the request of several clients. After reaching out to numerous organizations that provide pet first aid instructor training, I found Denise Fleck, and in all my trainings, I have never found an educator like her. She genuinely cared about the student and not just about making money.
